How Our Network Works

Who You Talk To

Companiesoff Heating & Air is a referral service. You do not hire us to fix anything. You speak with an independent HVAC provider in our network. That provider is a separate local business. They give the quote, do the work, and stand behind it.

What Happens on the Call

Expect a short, simple conversation. Here is the usual order:

1. First, you describe the problem. Warm air, no heat, loud noise, or a leak all count. 2. Next, you share your town and the type of system, if you know it. 3. Then you are pointed to a provider who may serve your area. 4. Finally, you and the provider talk about timing and the next step.

Timing varies by provider and season. Many providers can respond quickly, but nothing is certain. Request a callback to check provider availability.

What to Ask a Provider

Keep this list nearby. It works for any heating and cooling job.

  • Credentials: Are you licensed in Texas? Can you show proof of insurance?
  • Diagnosis: How will you find the cause? Is there a service fee, and is it applied to the repair?
  • Quote: Can I get the full price in writing before work starts?
  • Parts: Which parts will you use? Is there a warranty on parts and labor?
  • Options: If this is a big repair, can you also quote a replacement?
  • Timing: When could you arrive? How long will the job take?

Know What Drives the Price

A provider should explain the cost in plain words. Typical U.S. ranges vary by job. Simple repairs often cost a few hundred dollars. Bigger repairs cost more. A new system often costs several thousand dollars. Access to the unit, the age of the equipment, and the parts needed all matter. Hot attics can make the work harder, which can affect labor time.

You Are in Control

You decide every step. You can:

  • Ask questions as long as you like
  • Request a second quote
  • Say no and walk away
  • Ask for the plan in writing

A request for an estimate carries no obligation.
